Wishlist

For the upcoming school year, I have prepared a checklist to monitor while I take on the sophomore year challenge.

1. Stay away from the bad influences.
2. Stop being TOO frank and being TOO sarcastic.
3. Show some of my true colors when it's red alert.
4. Stay diligent. Studies first before tutor sessions. (And think about charging them when they're going over the board.)
5. Focus on my aim: the LIST.
6. Sometimes, it's better to be alone than be with a bunch of phony people.
7. Attack the library if it's needed! You're paying for their services!
8. Focus on getting good grades. Settle for second best once in a while. Hehehehe... >:)
9. Of course, use thy Acer Aspire 5573AWXMi into good use. You did not spend 50k on it just for nothing.
10. Enjoy college life. Kahit madaming asungot sa tabi tabi, huwag kang magpa-apekto.

Epiphany

Some human beings are hypocrites. No, make most of them. The world is filled with fair-weather friends, suck-ups, and stupid buttheads. Meeting them makes me feel I'm in hell and working my way out of it.

It's really annoying to be in this suckfest. Sometimes happy, sometimes angry. Such life is so monotonous, so boring, so irritating. Superficially I may look happy with the big smile, the loud laughter, but inside it's empty.

I do a lot of things for them, for other people, but what do I get? Nothing. Boos. They do not appreciate it. They feel that I am obligated to do it for them. It's really frustrating to realize that most of the people work, think, and live by that.

I will be meeting them in a span of a four weeks. Adjusting for a while, but then after I'll feel nothing because I have severed myself from the bad influences. I am not concerned with their well-being. I am not concerned with how they destroy their lives. Maybe I'll just sit back and watch how they destroy one another. That's why I don't know all the rumors that's happening; I don't care. And that's a good thing.

Bye bye old life. Hello new me.

Crumbling or Not?

Let me see...hmm...weeks before classes start and the stress, eyebags (haha, lucky me, I don't have those in my system), and woes are going to resurface again. Before those school boohoos come along, I have received these 'facts and fiction' that a lot of us would be leaving.

This chem block of mine...it's one of the wackiest, funniest, and most extraordinary block that I ever met. Imagine, our class had three professors complaining due to our noise. Because of this, a lot of literature professors are too afraid to handle our class. Those who are able to survive the noise, well they are idolized as superheroes.

But, with their good points also come bad points. A lot of them are still confused as to either continue this road less taken or shift to another pathway. When I mean a lot, it means A LOT. Others are shifting, others are planning to leave, others just plainly failed the somehow 'easiest' chemistry course [the easiest among the numerous chem courses in the BS Chemistry program] and have to repeat it again.

For me, I am really not concerned. You ask me why? Because most of the people here have bothered me for notes, homework, free tutoring sessions, and other favors. Some of them I like, some of them I moderately like, some of them I hate. Especially the losers. At first glance some of them weren't really cut for chemistry. I think they really need to get assessed before shifting to another course.

Excited

This post is made from my Acer Aspire 5573AWXMi. =)

Well I still don't have Microsoft Office 2007 due to someone out there, but then I had another friend who burned it on a CD. I will have to get it on Saturday, though. =)

I am so excited to go back to school and experience being a sophomore college student. With the new stamina and dedication I now carry, I think it's going to be no problem. There are many things to look forward to: the new terror prof and the subjects that are going to be taught this coming year.

I'm going to UST to look at my new schedule one of these days. It'll save me from trouble when enrolment time comes.

=) Tata!

Wrecked

AS IN SUPER.

I just purchased my first notebook/laptop, an Acer Aspire 5573AWXCi. It turns out that all laptops come with the operating system but no Microsoft Office. Okay, fine, I'll stick with WordPad until I get Office. At first I was really stunned with the price of the original MS Office 2007: 10000php. I went to Data Blitz and learned that the Home and Student Edition 2007 is priced at 8195php. My mom said that we may buy it next month. (1)

Then I remembered one of my best pals having an original MS Office 2007. I immediately texted him and expressed my wishes of borrowing it for a while. He told me that he'd have to search for it. Okay, second setback. Argh. I'm getting desperate. (2)

Just when I was going to experience online with Vista, the dial-up cable cannot be inserted into the darn ethernet port. I just inserted it last night! How come it won't work now? I was certainly pissed off and I'm going back tomorrow to have it looked. (3)

Due to boredom I decided to text a few of my blockmates for an hour of texting fun. Oh, guess what? Not one soul replied. They have the money to send those useless, friggin' corny jokes/quotes but they don't have the money to just entertain a friend. Which reminds me that they also don't have money to reply to my emergency texts. This is like the most stinking sh*t I ever stepped on. (4)

I don't want to make my mom spend another BIG dime just for the laptop, so I have asked another of my best friends to burn a CD of the MS Office 2k7. [If my mom chooses to buy an original, either I pay it off with a Dean's List slot or work quadruple time for my grades.]

I don't want to raise hell here on Earth so I turned my cellphone off. Goodbye losers. Don't expect me to go generous on sharing my knowledge when the school year starts. Since they don't have the money to reply, then they might as well throw their cellphones into the river.

The Sandy Beach

Yesterday was Mother's Day and instead of celebrating it by eating at an exclusive restaurant, we had a family outing to Nasugbu, Batangas together with my family on the mother side. That Saturday morning I had to drive our stuff to Valenzuela so we wouldn't drag along the Coleman ice truck while riding the jeepney. That evening, mom and I went to my aunt's house to sleep.

We all woke up at 130AM to prepare. The bus arrived at four AM and we went to fetch my other aunt. Needless to say, people are all asleep all throughout the trip. We arrived at Batangas at 7:30 AM. After unpacking the goods and trekking down the 100 step-stairs, hello blue ocean!

Swimming, swimming, swimming...the water was very salty and it stung my eyes and nose. But I'm thankful that the ocean floor is not embedded with rocks unlike the beaches in Subic. It looked dirty because it's sand you're stepping on. By afternoon, my cousins and I plus my aunts and mom, lay down the shore and had 'wave massage'. The waves hitting our bodies were good. Plus, it was fun to see my relatives rolling around because of the waves.

After I finished showering, I looked at the mirror and found my face beet red! My nose and cheeks sting. I never caught the 'red fever' before. There was a presentation for our mothers and games for the cousins. Hahaha...I even won a cash prize. =)

It was so traffic on the way home but there were movies to entertain us. Sheesh, I have seen those movies before and I am not entertained. What we did on the bus was share food--junk food--when all of us are pretty hungry and longing for a big plate of McDonalds' Chicken McDo. The bus stopped at a gas station and I decided to buy myself a bag of Piattos.

Four hours later we were back in civilization and eating at Emerald, the Chinese resto along Roxas. The customers there were all in red shirts celebrating a birthday, while we were all in shorts, beach wear, and sunburned.
